DESCRIPTION
In 1263, the head of the Mackenzie clan saved King Alexander III from an attacking stag.
In recognition of this, the king granted the Mackenzie clan the right to bear the emblem of the twelve-pointed royal stag in its coat of arms.
When the Dalmore distillery was taken over by the clan’s descendants in 1867, this royal stag became the symbol of Dalmore whisky, which proudly adorns every bottle today.
The precious single malts are refined in exceptional casks, which were handpicked by Master Distiller Richard Paterson.
This precious liquid begins its journey in ex-bourbon American white oak casks.
Then, the single malt is split into three different casks to wonderfully round out the flavor profile: Ex-Bourbon, Matusalem Oloroso Sherry and Port Colheita Pipes.
The final blending of the casks takes place in first fill ex-bourbon casks.
Immaculate and refined, like the beauty of this Baccarat decanter, you will be delighted by the exceptional elegance of this special single malt. — Richard Paterson, Master Distiller
