Sauternes Cask 2011 is a rare limited edition cask strength Irish single malt. Inspired by the Giant's Causeway and the generations before them. This single malt has been matured in a blend of Oloroso and Bourbon casks for over 7 years and is then aged in Sauternes wine casks for a further 2 years.
The French wine casks that have housed this sweet white wine from the Sautnais region of Bordeaux bring with them an abundance of delicate summer fruit flavors and fresh grapes.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Delicate aromas of fresh white wine deepening into ripe peaches and apricots with hints of vanilla sweetness.
Palate: The signature sweet and spicy flavors of Bushmills give way to layers of vanilla and honey, followed by hints of citrus and toffee apple.
