Time for big bottles! In the deep nose this exceptional vintage shows a slender, smoky flavour spectrum underlaid with elegance and limestone spices. Incredibly mineral and structured. Air helps bring out aromas reminiscent of salt lemon and pineapple as well as thyme, gooseberries and camphor. Palate fuming minerality, salt flowers and preserved lemons.

Single-vineyard Zieregg is divided into 17 plots of which 13 are planted with Sauvignon Blanc. Characterized by cambisol soil and coralline limestone soil, the old vines grow on a 16 mio. year old coral reef.

The southern faced exposition forms the aroma of this wine in a very distinctive and expressive way. After natural fermentation 24 months maturation “sur lie” in big neutral oak casks sur lie.
