Glenmorangie The ACCORD 12 Years Old Bourbon & Sherry Cask 43% Vol. 1l in Giftbox

Glenmorangie is one of the biggest selling single malt Scotch whisky brands in the world and was founded in 1843 by William Matheson.

It is located in the north Highland town of Tain. The distillery was originally named as Morangie and changed to Glenmorangie in 1887.

The Accord is part of a trio of travel retail releases from Glenmorangie that also featured The Tribute and The Elementa. All three were exclusively launched at Dubai airport in October 2019 before being rolled out globally in 2020.

The Accord from Glenmorangie is a 12-year-old single malt matured in a combination of American oak bourbon casks and hand-selected Oloroso sherry casks. The whiskies are married together, created a well-balanced expression filled with juicy red berry notes and waves of warming butterscotch.

Tasting notes

Color: Deep golden yellow with a hint of amber.

Nose: Rich and fruity, rise first aromas of toffee, caramel and dried fruits, then of dried apple, cereal bars, heather honey and a hint of almond. 

Palate: Raisins, dates, hazelnuts, milk chocolate, butterscotch, a pinch of cassia, espresso, marmalade on toast.

Finish: Drying and malty, with sultana sweetness remaining.
