Founded in 1887, Porto Cruz is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, on the banks of the Douro River, in the center of high quality port wines. In this wine-growing region, the grapes ripen on granite as well as slate soils in excellent climatic conditions. With annual sales of 10 million bottles in a total of 50 different countries, the Porto Cruz brand is one of the largest specializing in port wines.

This port is a young red port wine, which has a beautiful ruby color. This wine was made exclusively from the best red grapes, which were harvested by hand.

Tasting notes:

Dark red in the glass. On the nose, fruity notes of sour cherries, black currants as well as plums. 

On the palate complex, fruity, notes of currants, plums, juicy cherries. 

Long lasting on the finish.

Maturation: wooden barrel.
Acidity: 4,0 g/l.
Residual sugar: 105.0 g/l.
Closure: Natural cork.
Drinking temperature: 8-10 °C.
