INSPIRED BY FLAVOUR
Acclaimed photographer and artist Erik Madigan Heck was inspired by nature and the landscape of The Macallan Estate when capturing the complex flavor of The Macallan Double Cask 30 Years Old.

The whisky itself is a rich and luxurious medley of flavour, and Erik Madigan Heck used natural light to capture this depth of character in his still life. 
The reflective surface enhances the idea of flavours blending– almost as if seamlessly merging together as one - with the soft focus echoing the long-lasting taste experience.​

The whisky’s golden acorn natural colour is the focal point of the shot. Its rich tone and translucent glow has influenced the colour palette of the piece as a whole, with the soft caramels and browns and pops of red and green once more showcasing the depth of its flavour profile.​

The Double Cask range tells the story of an incredible wood journey, from the vast green forests of northern Spain and the French Pyrenees and the lush forests of Ohio, Missouri and Kentucky, to create the perfect harmony.

This release showcases her creator's unwavering commitment to uncompromised excellence as oak influence is the single greatest contributor to the quality, natural colour and distinctive aromas and flavours of the Macallan single malt whiskies.

COLOUR: Golden acorn and 100% natural.
AROMA: Fresh honeycomb, sweet toffee, red apple, fig and vanilla pod.
PALATE: A smooth melody of cinnamon, ginger, Madagascan vanilla, dried fruits and oak.
FINISH: Sweet oak, soft spice and toffee.
