DESCRIPTION

Sierra Antiguo Añejo  (40 % vol) is matured for a very long time in small oak casks until its flavour has fully developed. It has a warm, deep golden colour and is distinguished by its aromatic, full-bodied yet at the same time especially mild and fine flavour.

You notice a broad aromatic fullness as soon as you open a bottle of Sierra Antiguo. An interplay of vanilla, oranges, cloves and pepper begins in the nose, continues to the palate and slowly tails off into a hint of fruitiness.

Sierra Tequila comes from the Destilería Sierra, situated on a  historical hacienda in Guadalajara, the capital of Tequila. It is the home of Sierra Tequila, which has won many top awards. In the tradition of his forefathers, the handed-down art of distilling and the third-generation master distiller’s passion both characterise the unique, fruity flavour of every bottle of Sierra Tequila. The complex, traditional production process – careful manual work, choice tequilana weber azúl agaves from the highlands of Jalisco and gentle double distillation in copper stills – set the highest standards right across the board.

Sierra Tequila is governed by the strict general regulations that apply to Mexican Tequila production. Since there can nevertheless be many differences with regard to the production process, Sierra Tequila sets itself apart from other Tequilas by virtue of important special characteristics. This makes Sierra Tequila unique. Read all the details about Sierra production in the general text that deals with Sierra Tequila.

After distillation, Sierra Antiguo is stored in small oak casks for 26 months. This gives the Tequila, which is 100% made from agaves, its inimitable aroma. Sierra Antiguo is then decanted into bottles and sold in dozens of countries across the globe.

The complex glass embossing on the front and back of the bottle that depicts the circular centre point of an Aztec calendar is an unusual feature. It shows the face of the Sun god Tonatiuh. Sierra Antiguo is best enjoyed lukewarm and neat, like a refined Cognac or malt whisky.

The individual Sierra Antiguo with a black and gold label is available only in 0.7 litre bottles.

Sierra Antiguo Añejo is of award-winning quality:

Silver medal at the Tequila Masters 2018, hosted by THE SPIRITS BUSINESS

Gold Medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2017
